Heat is an operating cost
For a business in the Phoenix metro, summer heat is not a comfort problem, it is a line item. A warehouse with an uninsulated metal roof, a shop whose bay doors are open all day, an office suite with a tired flat roof: each of them turns sunshine into a cooling bill, and each of them puts a load on equipment that is expensive to repair in August.
Solid Foam Solutions works with owners, property managers and builders to cut that heat off at the source and with insulation systems chosen for the building in front of us.
Building types we work on
- Metal buildings and pole barns. Bare steel panels conduct heat straight through and can drip condensation when conditions swing. Closed-cell spray foam adheres directly to the panels, adds rigidity, seals the seams and puts a vapor retarder in the right place.
- Warehouses and distribution space. Large roof areas are where most of the heat enters.
- Flat-roof retail and offices. The Valley is full of low-slope roofs.
- Workshops, garages and agricultural buildings. Spaces where people work all day in conditions that are hard to cool.
- New construction and tenant improvements. Walls and ceilings go in with insulation chosen for the use, using foam, batts or blown-in material as the spec and budget require.
How we run a commercial job
Assessment and proposal
We walk the building, look at the roof, the deck and the existing insulation, and talk about how the space is used. You receive a detailed written proposal with scope, products, thicknesses and price, suitable for your own approval process.
Scheduling around operations
We plan the work so the business keeps running. That can mean phasing a large roof, working sections of a building in sequence, or coordinating with your other trades on a build.
Protection and cleanup
Overspray control matters even more on a commercial site, with vehicles, equipment, inventory and neighboring properties nearby. We mask, protect and contain, and we leave the site clean when we are done.
Warranty
Completed work comes with a warranty. We explain what it includes in the proposal so there are no surprises.
Beyond Arizona
Solid Foam Solutions started in Nebraska in 2020 and still works there. We also travel across the United States for projects that are a good fit. If you manage properties in more than one state or have a single building far from Phoenix, call and tell us about it.
